Today is shopping day. Yay! Finally I can do some shopping which I’m dying to shop once I get to Melbourne. Not that I don’t enjoy the tours but there’s so many things to buy here. I’m afraid that I don’t have enough time to do my shopping for souvenirs for myself, friends, family and colleagues.

First stop is the Queen Victoria Market. Don’t get me wrong. I’m not there to buy raw fish, vege nor meat. But the raw food there are really fresh and nice. I feel like buying them back to Malaysia but if I do so, the food will not be as fresh.

Queen Victoria Market has the dry market and the wet market. The raw stuff is the wet market while the dry side is where they sell t-shirts, souvenirs, crafts and etc. I got most of my souvenir from there since its way cheaper here than those in the shops in the city.

After finish shopping, went back to the house to drop the things and head on to Smith Street. Smith Street is the place where they have Fila, Nike, Quicksilver warehouse and etc. The things they sell here is way cheaper than those sold in the complexes or shops in the city. Well, it is indeed cheaper here even after conversion to RM. I bought a purple Fila shoe which cost $60. After conversion is around RM180. It’s not too bad for that price and furthermore I don’t think you can get that design here in Malaysia. I know it’s a little odd to get a purple shoe but hey, we are still young, isn’t it the best time to wear vibrant colours rather than those dull colours? Hehehehe..

Besides that, I bought a Roxy bag for only $8. It’s white with pink strips. Very youthful. I bought 2 skirts. One is working skirt blue in colour cost $10 and one is a leather gold skirt which only cost $5. I saw some genuine leather coats in Victoria Market. I tried on some of them and I look really really cool in it. When I asked bout the price, I almost fainted. The price ranges from $160 and above. After conversion is about RM480 and above. How to afford? If it cost $50 then I will surely get one myself. So since I can’t afford the leather coat, I decided to get the skirt as a replacement to ease my satisfaction. Hahahaha... But I look pretty cool in that skirt. Hehehe..

After finish shopping, it’s time for my friend to go to work at 6pm. So we have to head home. I was so tired when I reach home. I could hardly feel my feet and toes when I’m home. I didn’t even go out for dinner. I just cook a packet of maggi mee. I’m too tired to go out to buy food. It feels so nice to sit at home in front of the TV and rest. But I had a great time shopping. We walked all the way to Victoria market back to Lt Cardigan St and all the way to Smith Street and back to Lt Cardigan St. I haven’t walked so far for such a long time.

I shall call today as a rest day. I didn’t visit any places today nor sight-seeing. My friends are busy with all the police report and paperwork. I accompany Ju Wei to her university, Melbourne University to photocopy and fax stuff to the police. While she is doin all those, I used her computer account to go online surf the web and not forgetting chatting and checking my mail.

In the brochure, Melbourne University looks very grand and nice and etc. But it turns out to be an old building and nothing fancy inside. Hahahaha… Look good from the outside but not the inside.

After she is finally done with the all the printing and faxing, we head on down to Melbourne city in search of MAS Airlines in Melbourne to re-issue Ju Wei’s air ticket back to Malaysia because she place her air ticket in her laptop bag and the bag was stolen by the thief. To re-issue the tickets, a fine of $55 is imposed. If it is done in Malaysia, it will cost RM120. That is a lot of money for re-issue.

After enquire, we head on to city for a little shopping. I bought a red orange shirt. Very striking colour and only cost me $6. The clothes there are really nice. Nice quality, nice designs and not forgetting nice price too. Hahahaha..

Then it’s dinner time. Went to Rose Garden Restaurant for some Chinese food. As I said earlier… the foods are delicious and very big portion. After eating, I could hardly walk. Hahahaha..

Today is the latest that I woke up since I’m in Melbourne. Woke up around 11am. Today’s trip is to the Warrook Cattle Farm, Koala Conservation and Penguin Parade in Phillip Island. The tour starts at 1.30pm. Before boarding the tour bus to the respective places, me and Ju Wei went to Don Don restaurant to ta pau lunch. I had a Teriyaki Chicken Don. It’s delicious. We ate in the bus since we are running out of time. I even tried their smoothie from the Boost shop. I ordered Mango Banana yogurt smoothie. It’s a healthy drink.

The first stop is at Warrook Cattle Farm where they have a number of kangaroo hoping around, a wombat and some sheep and horses. I took a couple of pictures with the kangaroo up close. They look pretty cute. Too bad there’s no kangaroo carrying their little ones in their pouch. That would be a pretty sight. Anyway, I love the wombat the most. To me, wombat looks like a pig. Hahaha.. the one I saw is a baby wombat. He’s such a cutie.

Then the next stop is the Koala Conservation. I was hoping to carry and hug a koala but no such luck. All the koala is way up above the tree. And there’s not many koala. I’m very disappointed. Well, at least I get to see a koala with my very own naked eye.

The last stop of the day is the penguin parade. This is the place where the little penguins will come out form the sea to the penguin borrow on the land. They claim that these are the world’s smallest penguins. They are so cute. They come out in a group. They don’t come out alone. If one of them rushes back into the ocean, the rest of them will follow. It’s so cute seeing them rush out of the ocean. They make a lot of noise. Hahaha.. They are just so cute. Too bad we are not allowed to take photograph of them. I just love the way they walk. It’s like they are shaking their little butts left and right while walking and not forgetting their little flaps.

Oh yea. Somewhere in the afternoon, my friends house (the one I’m currently staying in) was broken in by a thief. The thief broke the window and climbs in and stole all my friends’ laptop. In total 3 laptops. They forgot to close the window blinds and from outside it is possible to overlook inside. Luckily they didn’t take my passport and air-tickets. If they really do, I really don’t know what to do. One of the roommates made a police report. Poor thingy. I can’t imagine me losing my laptop with all the information in it. Losing it and buying a laptop is no big deal but the information that you lost is a BIG deal.

Me and Ying Hui went for a daily tour to Great Ocean Road. The scenery was beautiful. Took lots of pictures on the way. We stopped at Apollo Bay for lunch and we had fish & chips. It’s just a small town. We even went to the pharmacy to get a nausea medicine. The road is too winding and the journey is really long. The medicine makes us real drowsy. When we got down the bus, we could hardly walk straight. I feel so high. Hahahaha…

The weather was pretty hot. The sun is shinning brightly. We came to one of the famous spot, The 12 Apostles. The view is magnificent. I took many pictures of it. It’s worth hours of traveling in the bus on a winding road. I can only see 9 Apostles instead of 10. And in recent news dated 5 July, one of the Apostles had fallen. So now only left 8. I’m glad I’m able to catch the 9th Apostles before it collapse.

After that we visited more of them. Took a couple of pictures. Visited the razorback, two survivors, lace curtain, pepper and shaker, London bridge has fallen down and etc.

I bought lots of beautiful postcards. We got back to Melb city around 8pm and Ying Hui brought me to Chinatown for dinner. We as Chinese must surely visit Chinatown. I ate duck rice with egg rice. It’s really tasty. The meat is very tender. Really delicious.

The whole trip was a wonderful journey minus the nausea.

I was so tired when I come back last night. At least today don’t need to wake up that early. Ju Wei, Ying Hui and I went to St Kilda. Nice scenery and very breezy. There are lots of stalls selling arts & crafts and not forgetting the beautiful beach with lots of starfish & seagulls.

After having a stroll down St Kilda beach, we met up with Ying Ming and her friends and we head on to Gold Leaf Chinese Restaurant in Springvale. There’s nothing much to see there so we head on to Docklands. We went sight-seeing and took lots of pictures. We were there till night fall.
Then we head on back to the city where we stopped by Crown, casino and they played cards games. We head on to Meiji Japanese Restaurant for dinner. Then stop by at a jap/korea convenient store and head on back home.

I woke up at 6.20am Malaysian time. It has been a while since I woke up this early after I left my secondary school. But the time in Melbourne is 8.20am. So it’s ok. We left for Ballarat which is an ex-gold mining place. I was hoping to find some gold there.

Ju Wei’s friends rent a car. A white Nissan Maxima. It’s quite spacious inside. There’s 5 of us in the car. The rental cost $67 per day. It’s bout 2 hours drive away from the city. I sleep halfway throughout the journey. I’m still so sleepy.

Then we finally reach our destination, Sovereign, Ballarat. The entrance cost $48 including a night show. The place is very interesting. We spent the whole day there. We even tried the gold mining but no luck. It’s so hard to find the gold with all the stones around it. We even went for the gold mining tour where we were taken to the underground ex-gold mining. Then the tour guide told us the history and etc. Very interesting indeed.

After that we went out of Sovereign to have dinner in one of the pasta restaurant. I shared with Ju Wei and we ordered a pasta and pizza. The food is delicious but the portion is too big. We can’t finish them. After dinner back to Sovereign for the night show. The night show was magnificent. It’s a story telling but not in a boring way. They highlight with spotlight on the building i.e schools, hotels, residence, bank etc while telling the story. So you can imagine what is going on rather than seeing what is shown usually. It’s hard to describe but the show is something different. It is freezing cold outside the dark. Everything is done outdoor.

After the show we went back to the city for ice-cream. Apparently this ice-cream parlour is kinda renowned. So they say that I should try it. So I tag along with them and see what so special bout the ice-cream parlour. Nothing special also. But one thing is that the ice-cream is huge. This is the fist time I’m eating so much ice-cream and worst is… IT’S IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT! Hahahaha.. and furthermore the weather outside is freezing cold and yet we are having ice-cream. Then it’s back to the house and tomorrow will be a better day.

Today is the day where I’ll be flying to Melbourne. I’m so excited and at the same time feeling a bit sad. The happy part is that I’ll be going for a holiday. The sad part is I won’t be able to see my dearie for a week. But I know we can make it. Right dear?

Early in the morning Aaron came to my house to pick me up and sent me to the airport. I thought we still have time for breakfast in KLIA before I board the plane. But it turns out that I’m just in time to go in. I can’t even have the last meal with him before I leave. Sigh… Well, at least I didn’t miss my flight which is at 10am and I reach at 9am.

The MAS airline is kinda huge. I didn’t expect so many people to travel to Melbourne. The plane is full. And I was sitted right at the back of the plane. But I don’t mind that sit though although I don’t have the window seat because there’s 2 empty seat beside me and at the other far end is I believe is a Chindian. He’s kinda good looking though. Hehehehe… Don’t marah ye dear. At least with the empty seat beside me it will be more spacious and I’m able to walk or stretch my leg at the back of the place since the flight is gonna take 7 hours and 20 minutes to reach. I will need the extra space.

Each seat has their own personalized TV right in front of them. I saw 3 movies and they are Pacifier (which I’m dying to watch), Samara and Sepet our very own Malaysian movie. They even have mini games but it’s pretty hard to play thought because the screen is kinda small.

The food they serve in plane was ok. Can’t expect much for in-house flight foods. First and foremost they gave us peanuts as starters then I had ribs for lunch and followed by cake, juice, tea, croissant, dark chocolate cake and even ice-cream.

I reach Melbourne at 5.30pm Malaysian time and the time in Melbourne is 7.30pm. It’s already dark when I reach. Furthermore is winter in Melbourne and the day is shorter than night.

After passing through the custom, I took a Skybus which is a shuttle bus from the airport to the city and cost $13 to Spencer Street. There I met up with Ying Hui and we walk a few streets before able to get on the tram to her house because so happen that moment the trams are having some technical error.

I was hungry when I reach there. So I had home-cooked food prepared by Ying Hui. Just a simple white rice with ommelete and bean sprouts.

After dinner, Ying Hui and Ju Wei brought me to Crown which is a casino. We are given $10 credit free try on the slot machine and I won $6. After that we went to the back of the casino to witness the fire ball they launch every hour. Huge fire ball.

We just walk around Melbourne city for sight-seeing. Most of the shops closed already. After that we went back home sleep and the journey begins tomorrow.

I can’t wait for tomorrow to come. But I worked late today since I have to rush to complete my accounts before I leave for my holiday for a week. I stayed in office till 10pm. Luckily Aaron and his best buddy came and have dinner with me and at the same time walk me to the car since it’s getting late. I really appreciate that.

I’ve been so busy lately with work. I wanna finish up the accounts before I go for a holiday. This way I can enjoy my holiday to the fullest without worrying bout my work. Well, at last I manage to finish whatever I can at 10pm. And now is back home and start packing. I don’t even have time to pack my stuff. See how busy I am. Sigh… But do not fear. Melbourne here I come. Muahahaha!!!

Yay! It’s circus day. It has been a while since I went to circus. In the morning I drove to Tmn Bukit Maluri. Somewhere near Kepong. I went to Ying Hui’s house to get something from her mum to pass the things to Ying Hui when I go Melbourne in 2 weeks time. I can’t wait to go. I sensed that I’m gonna have a good time there.

After that suppose to rush to Mines to catch the circus at 1pm. But don’t think we can make it. So we decided to go for the 4pm show instead. I went to Aaron’s house since it’s still too early to go.

We parked our cars in Mines Shopping Centre and took the water taxi to the circus. Cost us RM2.50 per trip. We bought the cheapest ticket but we manage to smuggle into the 2nd most expensive seat. Heh heh heh. That’s to the group of kids. We followed the group of kids in and the officer didn’t checked our tickets. Phew! If kena tangkap, malu kita.

Not many people present at the circus. It’s pretty hot though under the hot sunny weather. This is my first time watching circus in the afternoon. I find that there’s nothing much in circus. The acts are those lame ordinary acts. But it was kinda entertaining. I like one of the acts so much. It is done by a couple which is hung by 2 red ropes and they swing around the stage. I find it very romantic.

The show lasts bout 2 ½ hours. Before the circus about to end, we rushed out from the circus to catch the water taxi before the whole crowd start to fight for the water taxi. We manage to catch the first water taxi without needing to queue and furthermore it’s raining and there is no shade. After that, we headed home. I was so tired when I reach home. I rest at home by watching Hitch. It’s not a funny movie but it was okie. It teaches the guy how to court a girl. Oh well, it’s back to work again tomorrow. No more fun. But I had a great weekend.

It’s weekend again. This weekend I’m free. Free from classes and studying from exam and not forgetting work. I have the day all planned out. In the morning, I visited my grandma in PJ then off to KLCC. This is my first time driving to KLCC. Surprise leh. But I didn’t get lost. I manage to find the RM1 parking.

There’s nothing much to do in KLCC though. But I was there because Aaron wants to buy CDs from Tower Records. He had this gift voucher worth RM100 which I gave him as a Christmas present last year. The voucher only valid for 6 month and it will expire in a week time. So since that Tower records in KLCC is one of the biggest in KL we decided to give it a try to search for CDs worth RM100. Before this we went to other Tower Records outlet but he can’t seem to find those CDs he wanted. My initial plan of buying the voucher is to allow him to buy his favorite Bon Jovi Boxset. But all the Tower Records outlet we went don’t have that boxset. In the end he bought a Will Smith, Damn Dirty Apes and Tragic Comedy. All this 3 CDs only cost RM97. Rather than wasting the balance RM3, Aaron asks me to choose one of the CDs or VCDs of my choice and he willing to pay for it. I was so happy. I wanted to get a Korean movie but it’s too expensive. So I go for English movie instead. I took my all time favorite movie, Home Alone. I just love that movie so much. Well, one of the reasons is that I like the actor, Macauly Culkin. He’s just so adorable.

After KLCC we went to Lot 10. Initial plan to go to Lot 10 is to get the Starlight Cinema tickets but we totally forgotten all about it. We went to Sg Wang and BB Plaza too. I bought a skirt from the Island Shop. It’s orange in colour. I love it. Its original price is RM69 and now sold for RM9. Cheap eh. Then we bought Royal London Circus tickets in Sg Wang. We wanted to make it for tonight’s show at 7pm but by the time we left BB area is already 5:30pm. So we decided to go tomorrow instead.

Second day of my exam. Advanced taxation. I was confident in this paper. Everything prepared to attempt this paper. Even outside the examination room my ex lecturer for Paper2.3 wish me luck. I was so happy that he wishes me luck. Simon Kok his name. I do have a crush on him. He just looks so macho. Awww… *Heart melted*. I know I know… some of you might think that I’m being perasan but there’s so many other people and he look into my eyes and wish me good luck. He was smiling at me. ONLY ME! Awww…*Heart melted again*. He looks charming and dashing. Awww…

Enough of lovey dovey story. Back to the serious part. I guess I flung another paper this semester. Everyone is expecting the Real Property Gain Tax (RPGT) to come out but then, it didn’t come out at all. I’m so disappointed. But luckily Investment Holding Company (IHC) came out. The other questions I really have no idea what is it all about. The questions came out is so different from what we did in class and the past year questions. Sigh.. All I can do now is pray hard that I passed the paper.

After the exam, I met up with Aaron for a movie we are dying to watch. Madagascar. It was a hilarious movie. It’s worth watching though. And not forgetting the theme song. “I like to move it move it, you like to move it move it”. I just love the song. It’s so hippy. It makes you wanna dance. Yeah baby. Come on… Shake it… Yeah.. !!

It’s back to work again tomorrow. Sigh.. Sienz ler. I almost wanted to walk into the clinic and get a MC for tomorrow. It has been almost 2 ½ weeks since I last step into office. Furthermore for the past one week I’ve been having headache. So I thought maybe I can use that excuse to get a MC for tomorrow. But then, I’m being a nice gal and I didn’t do so. I shall just be a good girl and go to work tomorrow.

But I think I flung the paper. I hope the examiner is lenient on the marks. Please… pretty please let me through this time.

Words and lots of words I see. I have to get all these words into my head. Time is ticking. Brain is exploding. Heart is pounding. Sweet is dripping. It’s so quiet. So peaceful. I feel like heaven.

Then suddenly, my neighbors’ voice broke the silent. Sigh… there goes my heaven. It’s hair pulling time. It’s head banging time. I can’t take the noise any longer. Feel like shouting at them. But I have to stay calm. And calm I stay.

The time is ticking. I’m waiting anxiously for the short hand to point at 9 and the long hand to point at 6. Ahhhh... finally, the time has reached. And it’s time. Is that time again. Muahahahaha… It’s time for Malaysian Idol at 8TV. Hahahaha…

As I was glued to the idiot box, enjoying and laughing in the middle of the show, I saw something swift past my side vision in the dark. I ignore it and continue watching my series. Laugh and laugh all alone in front of the idiot box in the kitchen. People might think I’m lunatic but I don’t care as long as I’m enjoying myself.

Then it appears again. That thing!!. Please don’t tell me is that thing. Now I can’t afford to ignore it. If I were to ignore it again, my curiosity will kill me. I held on tight to my remote control as a weapon in case of emergency. Step by step my move into the computer room. That’s where I saw that thing. Please tell me is not that thing. As I was approaching to the middle of the room, there it is. It’s really that thing. It passed right in front of my eyes from one furniture to the other. Oh gosh!!! NOOoooo!!!

I shouted for my younger brother. Wait… I didn’t shout… I screamed. “Bennnnnn… faster.. HEEEELLLLPPPP!!! Faster come faster come!!!!”

But when my brother came, it disappeared. I have no idea where it went. It must have hidden behind the furniture. He bangs and shakes the furniture, hoping it will come out. I clasped my hands to my chest. I’m so afraid. But it’s a failure. It’s still not appearing. So we decided to leave it alone. I shall continue to watch my Malaysian Idol.

Happily enjoying the show and there it is AGAIN! This time it stops in front of me. Sniffing and staring straight into my dazzling eyes. Before I could move my nerve, it chickened out and hid back behind the furniture.

And yet again, I screamed for my brother. This time he saw it too. He was afraid of it too. We don’t know what to do. But we want to capture it. Luckily my mum came back. She also doesn’t know what to do. We tried every possible ways to shoo it out of the house. We opened the back door wide open and block every other possible exits. We use brooms to shoo it out from the furniture and leaving the exit straight to the door wide open. But it doesn’t want to leave. So we tilt the furniture a bit hoping it will get out.

And guess what, it ran towards my mum and my mum jumped and scream. Now it ran underneath the computer table. It squeeze between the table’s leg. Poor thingy. All of us are petrified. And so is it. It finally ran downstairs. And we followed it. But then we lost it. It was just too quick for us. And we decided to just leave it alone. Maybe it will be gone the next day. Poor Little Stuart. We shall let you live. So that was my adventure of the day.
