It’s the first day of Chinese New Year. Happy Chinese New Year everyone. Gong Xi Fatt Chai. Nothing special for me. Just the same old stuff, visit relative house, eat, drink, collect ang pau. Hahahaha… another boring CNY. In the morning went and visit my grandma in nursing home, then to Rawang to visit another of my relative house. Then to Petaling Street. Every year, my dad will go to the temple in Petaling Street to pray. So we went to Uda Ocean, McD for lunch while he went to the temple to pray.

Then at night went to my aunt’s house for dinner. Then it’s back home again. Ang Pau collection for the day is RM130. But the ang pau I gave to my parents and my grandma is RM1,100. Hehe.. So the RM130 is like a discount for me.

It’s finally Chinese New Year eve. In the morning I baked cookies again. Hahaha.. Yea, cookies again. This is the last minute cookies. My younger brother loves this cookies but I prefer the Amos cookies.

At night we had a reunion dinner in a restaurant nearby my house. The food was ok. The whole meal cost RM288++. After dinner we sent my grandmother back to the nursing home and we head on to the temple in PJ. Sau Sing Lam temple I think. Somewhere near old town, PJ. The temple is huge. The temple is computerized. I was amazed. We were there till midnight. When I reach home, I smell of smoke.

Well, as usual, I’m late for my gathering. It was held in Hartz Chicken (Berjaya Times Square). Mr Kwok Ming came and pick me up at 12.15pm while the gathering starts at 12.30pm. All of them are already there. But then I didn’t expect the crowd to be so small. Only 12 of us turn up. As compared to last year, there are 20+ that turn up. I’m such a bad organizer. Couldn’t get more people to turn up. Sigh… But I had a great time there. Although the group is small, but the fun is still there.

All of us brought a gift costing RM5-RM10 then we exchange among ourselves. We had a big laughter after exchanging. And all of us are so excited to open the presents. Some of the guys got the girly stuff. It’s so hilarious. I think we should have this in every of our gathering. The gathering ends at 3pm. Immediately after that, I met up with my boyfriend to watch Memoirs of Geisha. It is a fantastic movie. Geisha is actually arts of looking and acting seductively. They were trained to make men feel good, and they were so skilled at it that men paid huge amounts simply for the privilege of being around them. But the sad part was that they are being sold by their parents at the age of 5 or 6 due to financial constraints. They even have a ritual called mizuage ritual where when a young apprentice geisha essentially "sold" her virginity to the highest bidder. I love this movie a lot. Geisha is so pretty. If you haven’t watch it, go catch it.

This is me before the gathering. I'm now ready to go

It’s my second class of the semester. And the lecturer is half an hour late. Sigh… This lecturer is very cool not like other ACCA lecturers who are very serious. He keep complaining about his bonus during the class. Apparently he is only given less than 1 month bonus. Poor thing. The class is boring but once in a while the lecturer do joke. So it keeps the class enlighten.

After class I went to Sunway Pyramid. I need to get some accessories for my primary gathering tomorrow. I manage to get 4 earrings for RM10 and a green necklace for RM10.

Left work slightly early today. Left office around 7.30pm and went to Mid Valley and met up with Aaron. We had dinner in McD and just jalan-jalan. I like the CNY deco in Mid Valley. It looks very authentic. Didn’t buy anything though. I’m so tired from work.

Looks very Japanese right? I love it Posted by Picasa

Finally it’s a rest day for me. A rest day from working and cleaning room. In the morning Aaron came to pick me up then we went to Ikea to buy stuff for my cupboard. Once again I spent money. I bought a cupboard organizer, 16 wood hangers, 2 chair cushion and a metal pencil holder. All this cost me RM80++.

From Ikea, we went to 1Utama for gym and to shop for my younger brother’s birthday present. I bought him a sleeveless Reebok shirt which cost RM49.90. It feels so nice to workout. We stayed about 2 hours in the gym then left 1U before 6pm because apparently suppose to visit Aaron’s uncle in HUKM since the visiting hours is only till 7pm. But in the end we didn’t go to HUKM. We ended up in Kepong’s pasar malam. Hahaha..

Finally it’s weekend. I’ve been working till 10pm almost everyday. Finally I can wake up late. But I have lots of things to do at home. Sigh… as you know Chinese New Year is coming so the house got to be spick and span.

During the day, the Recycle & Charity people are coming to take away my old cupboard and my brother’s old study table and some other stuff in the house. Once their job is done, my job just begins. I have to clean up the mess after all the furniture is taken away. A hard job cleaning my room. Imagine cleaning the house all by myself. Hahaha…

Then in the evening is the arrival of my new cupboard. This cupboard cost me RM580. There goes part of my bonus. But I like it a lot. Once the cupboard is in my room, my 2nd shift of cleaning the room begins. Have to wipe away all the sawdust and the deliverymen’s dirty footprints. Once that is done, my whole room smell of wood. I got no choice but to go to nearby shop to get some fragrance or mothballs. Since today is the first day ‘The Store’ opens in Sri Petaling, I gave a visit. There’s so many people there. We could hardly walk. We got fed up and left the place and migrate to Careffour instead. It’s so much nicer shopping in Careffour since it is more spacious. The Store is really small. The lanes are so narrow.

Once I bought my stuff, back to my room with the lavender fragrance I bought. Once the smell of wood is gone, I have to put back all my clothes into my cupboard. Once I’m done, it’s already 11pm. Whole day work. I love my room. Now it looks more like a Japanese room due to the cupboard and my newly bought curtains.

This few days been working pretty late. But today is the latest we’ve worked. We left the client’s place at 11pm. My eyes could hardly open and my brain could hardly function. Luckily I stayed kinda near to my client’s office which is in Taman Desa. At around 9pm all my client went back already. Only left 4 of us auditor. So the whole office is pitch black except for the auditor’s room. At around 10pm, a security guard came knocking at our door. We got a fright. He was reminding us to switch off the lights when we leave.

About 15 minutes later he came knocking again. We jumped up again. He was warning us that if anyone knocks on the entrance door, ask us not to open. It’s pretty scary though. So my manager who was there at that time say we better leave before anything happens. But we only manage to leave at 11pm. I’m so hungry when I came home. Only had a burger around 8pm. I guess tomorrow also need to work till late night. Sigh…

Today is a public holiday, Hari Raya Haji. Another holiday of the week. Yay! But it will be a busy day for me at home. I’ve booked a cupboard and will be delivering on Saturday. So since today is a holiday I got to clean my room and wait for the arrival of my new cupboard.

During the day, I baked some cookies. I got a ‘Famous Amos’ recipe from the net quite sometime ago. So finally wanna give it a try. The main ingredients are Cadbury chocolate, Chocolate chips, Oatmeal, eggs and other normal baking stuff i.e. flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda etc. It’s pretty hard to mix them together as it is kinda dry at first but I add in more eggs to make it moist. Furthermore my mixing bowl is small. So I got to mix a couple of time.

Well, for those of you who wants the recipe, here it is:-

Famous Amos Cookie
2 cups butter
4 cups flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 cups granulated sugar
2 cups brown sugar
5 cups blended oatmeal (measure oatmeal & blend in blender to a fine powder)
24oz. chocolate chips
1 tsp. salt18oz. Cadbury bar (grated)
4 eggs
2 tsp. baking powder
3 cups chopped nuts (your choice)
2 tsp. vanilla

Cream the butter & both sugars. Add eggs & vanilla; mix together with flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder & soda. Add chocolate chips, Cadbury & nuts. Roll into balls & place 2 inches apart on a cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes at 375 degrees. Makes 122 cookies.

Well, as you can see from above the measurement is a lot and I think it bakes more than 122 cookies. What I did was I used half of the above ingredients and I baked more than 122 cookies as well. Hahaha... Well, it’s up to you how you wanna modify the recipe.

Once the cookie is done, I break for lunch then it’s back to work again. Now it’s cleaning room time. I got to rearrange some of my furniture in order for my new cupboard to move in. I’m so exhausted when I’m finished. And tomorrow is a working day. Sigh…

Aaron came and fetches me from the house then we went to visit my grandma in the nursing home. This is the first time Aaron meet my grandma. We were there about an hour then head on to Mid Valley for more CNY shopping. It was surprising that Mid Valley was not jam at all. Well, I guess most of them have finished spending their allowance. Mine is gonna run dry soon enough. Heh heh heh.

I didn’t buy anything from Mid Valley but just a new spectacle from Focus Point. The brand is 2-Inch which cost me RM349. They have so many other types of brand and variety but it’s too expensive. I got to change my spectacle because my power has increase again. Sigh…

Since I can’t find anything to buy in Mid Valley we drove to Sogo instead. There I manage to get a pair of work shoe and a jeans. Finally I manage to find a jeans which suits me. I was jeans shopping last weekend in 1U and I couldn’t find a jeans that suits me. They are all low waist and when I bend down, I can see butt-crack. Eeewww… I went to shops such as Levis’, Giordano, Edwin, Padini etc. the price is pricey but it doesn’t fit me. So no point paying so much and I don’t look nice in it. In Sogo I saw a dummy wearing a jeans which is nice so I decided to give it a try and I fit perfectly. It’s from Lee Cooper cost me RM109. this is the most expensive jeans I’ve ever wore. My jeans are all from lady like and recently from Giordano which is bought from a warehouse and it’s cheap.

So in Sogo I spend another RM150. Sigh… I’m such a big spender. Since 31 December 2005 to to-date, I’ve taken out RM1,900 from my account. How am I gonna survive for my rest of my January? Hmmm…

Today is my first day of class of the semester. I decided to take Paper 3.4, Business Information Management since I have no confident in passing my Paper 3.2, Advanced Taxation. The lecturer is Mr. Dinesh.

Since the class starts at 2pm, in the morning I went to gym around 9am. I was in the gym for a while only. Then off to Jusco to buy curtains and comforter set. All together it costs me RM191. Hehehe…

During lunch we went to Café TV. I like the restaurant setting. But the food is ok ok only. It serves pork for one thing. Hahaha… The waiter there is friendly.

My class suppose to dismiss at 7.30pm but lecturer let us off earlier at 5.30pm because apparently he has a function to attend. So we happy, he happy. Hahaha..

Later in the evening after class, I went to Careffour to buy cookies ingredient with Benny. I’m gonna bake rainbow chocolate cookies and Famous Amos Cookies. The total ingredient cost me RM35. It’s cheaper than buying outside but provided it’s nice. Hahaha…

It’s the first day of New Year. Happy New Year everybody. Since Aaron is working and I got nothing to do at home me and my younger brother went to Mid Valley for the Bonuslink carnival in the exhibition hall. There’s so many Bonuslink Card Member. It’s so packed in the exhibition hall. I manage to redeem a clock with 1800 points.

Once that is done, I send my brother home and I get ready to go to 1U for gym. On my way there it’s raining pretty heavy. Somewhere near Eastin Hotel the road is flooded due to the heavy rain. I got stuck there. I waited first on the line for almost 30 minutes. I couldn’t wait any longer and decided to go over the flooded water. I was praying hard that my car don’t get stuck in the water. And thank God it didn’t. Muacks to my brave car.

In 1U they are having a human monopoly. It seem it’s the biggest monopoly board game.
