Today is New Year’s Eve. During the day I met up with my secondary friends. And they are Zing Yee, Ju Wei, Ying Ming, Gerilynn, and one more from 5 Sc 3 which I forgot her name. Sorry… We went to HotMama Restaurant for lunch. The Chinese waiter who took our order is so happy to see us. He is practically flirting with us. Hahaha… I think he is being friendly.

After lunch we just walk around in Sg Wang, BB Plaza and Lot 10. I didn’t buy anything tho. The places are filled with peoples. The crowd is too big. Each of us parted one by one. All went back at different timing. Around 6pm only left me and Aaron whom we planned to stay for the countdown. So we just walk around aimlessly and past through the crowd which is crazy just for fun and waited for the countdown and fireworks. Immediately the fireworks we went back home.

My aunt from UK sent back a huge parcel for us. The postage for the parcel is £60. So expensive. Told her not to send anything back but she’s stubborn. Sigh… waste money only. Inside the big parcel are some chocolate, 2 perfumes, 3 crystals thingy, some Christmas cards and some money. I got a perfume by Christian Dior, Jadore. I like the Christmas card she sent me. And not forgetting the £20.

I left Genting at 12.20pm. The bus stops at Titiwangsa LRT station at 1.45pm. From there we took LRT to Plaza Rakyat. We plan to go to Petaling Street for lunch since the food stuff in Genting is expensive. We wanted to have ‘Chee Cheong Fun’ for lunch but then the shop close already. So have to look for other alternative. We ended up having vegetarian ‘chap fan’ for lunch. Not much choices left since it’s already 2pm.

After lunch me and my brother went window shopping in Petaling Street. It has been months since I been to Petaling Street. The place has not changed a bit since when I was younger where I used to hike the bus from Jalan Silang. I will never miss that place. Thank God that I don’t need to take bus from there.

Talking about bus, around 3pm we decided to take a bus to IOI Mall, Puchong to meet up with mum who is doing some CNY shopping there. We can’t go home because I don’t have the house key. The ride was about an hour. After reaching IOI Mall, my mum do a quick shopping for my brother’s school uniform. So many people doing last minute back to school shopping.

From IOI Mall, we went to Subang to fetch my dad home. I reach home only at 6.30pm. I’m so tired. And the worst part is tomorrow is a working day. Sigh…

It’s Christmas day. Ho Ho Ho, Merry Christmas everyone! Today is a real busy day for me. In the morning my mum drove me to 1U. My mum and little brother went to a hunted house (The Mummy Returns) organized by the ‘whites’ in the Giant carpark. The admission fee cost RM12.90 per person and only lasted for 10 minutes. While they go to the hunted house, I went to the gym alone. It’s so empty in the gym coz its Christmas day and mot of them will stay at home with their family. It’s so nice to have peace and quiet in the gym and no one to fight with you over the hair-blower or the shower. I was in the gym for about 2 hours then we left 1U and went to Subang to pick my dad up from work and head on to Genting.

We reach Gohtong Jaya around 4pm. And that’s the time I had my breakfast and lunch. I was so hungry. I’m so hungry till I finish up a big plate of fried rice.

In Genting, me and little brother wanted to stay a night since tomorrow is an off day for me. Parents cannot stay a night because tomorrow my dad is working and my mum have to send him back to Subang. So we went to the First World reception to try luck and see whether is there rooms available. It turns out that there is a room available which is the World Card Room and cost RM420. It’s too expensive so we decided not to stay.

As we were walking out of the reception, an elderly woman from Sabah approach my dad and offer to give us one of her room. Apparently she book 2 rooms and one of her relative didn’t turn up. So instead of her wasting the room, she offers it to us. She offered us RM180 for a deluxe room (the normal price is RM210) and my dad took it. What a lucky day.

Me and my little brother wanted to watch midnight movie but all of the tickets sold out. So we ended up in First World indoor games. We went for the new 4D motion master. The motion master spray out water and I was wet but it was fun. However, the graphic was bad. The current show is Alice in Wonderland. It’s not the Disney Alice in Wonderland. The graphic is horrible and so is the music. However, I sat twice. Hahaha.. coz we got the unlimited ride, so no harm in watching it twice. All the rides are filled with people. The queue is rather long. It takes us about 20 minutes in order for us to ride.

I went into the Casino for half an hour. I only intended to gamble RM10 on slot machine to try luck. It turns out that I won RM12.55. hahaha.. I know it’s a small sum but it’s snough to cover my bus ticket for 2 back to KL tomorrow. People around me ask me why I don’t want to play more. Hahaha…

Close to midnight we wanted to get a drink from Starbucks in First World. There are 2 Starbucks in First World. One is indoor and one is situated at the entrance of First World Hotel. The one indoor closes at midnight while the outdoor opens 24 hours. As we were walking back to the hotel, my bro stopped at the indoor Starbucks to steal a Starbucks mug. The shop is closes but there are few mugs lying around the table because they had not cleaned the table when they close. So my brother go take one of the Mug back. Hahaha… he love the mug so much. This mug is no ordinary mug. This mug is larger than the normal mug.

Today is Christmas Eve. I went to vista eye center in The Curve for consultation. This consultation is regarding the eye laser surgery. It is a tedious check-up on both the eyes. The consultation starts at 1pm and I finish at 4pm.

After all the hassle and multi-test carried out, it’s time for the final test which is the consultation and advice from the surgeon himself, Dr. Choong. He told me that I’m not suitable yet to carry out the eye laser surgery because according to him, he said that my cornea is still forming. In other words, it is not stable yet. Therefore, no point for him to do the corrective now and in future it will turn blur again. So in few years time only I’m suitable to do the laser. Sigh. I’ve wasted RM100 for the consultation and the time spent. However, the doctor said I have a healthy and clear cornea. And he adds that my power is really minimal for Chinese. Hahaha…

I’m gonna be so lonely for the next 5 days. My dearie is leaving to Kota Kinabalu today with his family and his best friend. I’m supposed to follow them but my mum don’t allow. Sigh. How nice if I’m able to go with them. Aaron’s mother is so upset that I can’t go with them. I’m upset and sad at the same time.

Well, guess I’ll be spending my Christmas this year all alone. Sob sob… I’m so bored now. Got to work and work. There are a lot of things to be done but I don’t know how to proceed. Sigh…

Well, I hope my dearie has a good time in KK. I miss him already. I can’t wait to see him when he comes back on Tuesday. I think he will be reaching KL on Tuesday pretty late. so I guess I will only be able to see him on Wednesday.

At night me and my little brother went to Hilton PJ Hotel to see the Christmas decoration. It was advertised in the newspaper that the deco includes rail tracks. They claim to be the largest in south East Asia or something like that. So since tonight I’m I drove all the way there to have a look. The display is indeed beautiful. Very nicely decorated. It looks so real. I can’t resist it but to take pictures of it. Hahaha…

We only spent about 10 minutes there then I drove to A&W PJ for supper. After that we came back home. On the way home I stopped by the VCD rental shop near my house and I borrowed a whole series of one of the TVB drama, To Get Unstuck In Time. I bet most of you has watched it because it was showed in Astro Wah Lai Toi. I manage to finish 2 disc and I spelt at 2am

Today my colleague told me that Air Asia is giving away free tickets. 2 million free air tickets to be given away. At first I thought only one way is given free but according to my colleague both ways is given free depending on the ticket availability.

So after work, I went online to check it out. It turns out that what she says was true. Just that the only charges need to pay is the airport tax which is only a small sum. I discussed this with Aaron and he looks interested. So in the end his dad booked ticket for 5 to Phuket, Thailand and that only cost RM715 for 5 for 2 ways. How cheap is that. Aaron is going with his parents and his sister and that make up to 4 and one more for me. Hehehe.. I haven’t tell my mum yet. I plan to tell somewhere in September next year which is near to the time we going to Phuket. I hope she allows me to go. If not I will lose RM143.

The details of my flight if no changes are made are as follows:-

From KLIA to Phuket
Monday, 18 Sept 2006 Depart at 12.45 and arrive at 13.00 (Thai time) Flight AK872

From Phuket to KLIA
Thursday, 21 Sept 2006 at 13.35 (Thai time) and arrive at 15.45 (M’sian time) Flight AK873

Today is the last day in Singapore. We went for breakfast as usual which is complementary from the hotel. After breakfast, we went back to the hotel to do some last minute packing. We tore off all the price tags for all the stuff we bought because we scared that the Malaysia government will tax us on the items we purchased.

We took a cab back to Golden Mile Complex and our bus departs at 11am. We reach KL around 6pm. We can reach earlier but due to a jam in Seremban so there is a slight delay.

I’m so exhausted when I reach home. Furthermore tomorrow I have to get back to work. I feel so lazy to go back to work after 5 days of holidays. Hehehe…

Today’s event is to Escape Park somewhere near Pasir Ris. This is my brother’s idea to go to Escape Park. There’s nothing much there. It’s just an amusement park which cost $16.90 each and the place there is small. It’s something like our EuroPark in One Utama recently. We sat some rides, watched an aqua show performance and played some funfair games and got 3 soft toy cost $20.

We left Escape Park around 1pm and went to the nearby shopping complex to have our lunch. We ate chicken rice. Then we took the MRT all the way to Mustafa Shopping Complex again. It took us 30 minutes ride to reach Mustafa. We were there again because we got another $50 cash voucher. So my mum bought a blouse and the rest is spent on food stuff. Hahaha…

Then from Mustafa we went back to hotel to drop off the stuff we bought and went out again to Suntec City. My brother wants to go to Suntec City again to buy more of his Anime toys. In Suntec, my mum was interested in the U-Zap from Osim. She was hesitating at first but in the end she decided to buy. I was happy too that she bought it because with any purchase above $150 from Suntec, we are entitled to purchase Carebear umbrella for only $3. I bought 2 Carebear Umbrella. Hahaha…

From Suntec, me and Benny went to CityLink Shopping Complex which is a link from Suntec to City Hall MRT Station while my mum went back to hotel to dropped off her U-Zap which weight 2kg and cost $289 which is cheaper than buying it from KL even after conversion. CityLink is an underground shopping complex. We met up again in City Hall MRT station and head on to Chinatown.

Singapore Chinatown cannot beat our very own Chinatown. Well, at least in Singapore Chinatown quite a number of people there speak Cantonese. We had dinner in a restaurant by the road. Since the first meal in Singapore this is the best meal we’ve eaten. Hahaha… this is how bad the food in Singapore. No offence to Singaporean out there but your food can’t beat our Malaysian food.

3rd day in Singapore. Today’s event is to visit Sentosa Island. We took MRT to Harbour Front then took a shuttle bus to Sentosa Island.

Our first stop in Sentosa Island was the Pink Dolphin Lagoon. I’m looking forward to meet up close and personnel with the Pink Dolphin. The show only lasted about 20 minutes then it’s picture taking tile with the dolphin. Me and my mum took picture with the dolphin. We touched the dolphin. It feels like touching a normal skin. Nothing special. The 5R picture cost us $13. It turns out that the young dolphin is born grey and as it gets older, it will turn pink. They can leave up to 50 years old. They are such a gentle mammals.

Our next stop is the Siloso Beach and the Underwater World. The Siloso beach is so much cleaner than our very own Port Dickson’s beach. Bikini girls, beach volleyball, surfing etc can be found in Siloso Beach.

If you compare our very own Aquaria and Singapore’s Underwater World, not much difference. They have a mini petting area. I manage to pet some fishes, baby shark and sting ray. Sting ray feels like jelly.

After Underwater World we went to Cinemania but the show only starts at 1:20pm and when we reach it’s only 12:40pm. So we stopped by the nearby food court to have our lunch while waiting for the time to past. We are entitled for 2 movies. One is the Volcano and the other one is in the Bedroom. It turns out to be like motion master. Not bad.

After Cinemania, we went for Sentosa Luge. It’s like go-kart but they use different kind of kart without motor. It’s kinda fun. My mum and Benny went for a second round. After the ride we are entitled to a ‘skychair’. You know where those people who goes for skiing they sit the chair to the top of the mountain. That’s the one. When we were on that skychair it begins to rain heavily. And the journey back to the Sentosa Luge is about 10min ride. By the time I reach the land, all of us are soaking wet. What a bad day. Hahaha…

We went to a restaurant for pizza while waiting for the rain to stop before we could continue our journey and at the same time dry ourselves.

We reach back to city around 6pm. We went back to hotel to change to new and dry clothes before continuing our visiting. My mum supposes to visit her long lost secondary friend in Raffles Hotel at 7:30pm. So during that 1 ½ hours, we went to Robinson to shop for a little gift for her friend. My mum bought her a purse. Each of us has a $20 cash voucher. So my mum uses that voucher to buy that present and the balance $40 are being used by me since both of them has nothing to buy. I bought a sports top for $34 and a bag for $27. So I only pay $21 for both the items.

My mum’s friend brought us to a typical Chinese restaurant for dinner. We ordered a lot of food. We ordered kangkung belacan, sweet & sour pork, japanese tofu, steam chicken and pork chop. After dinner she brought us to one of the café in Raffles Hotel for dessert. The setting in the café is beautiful. We ordered a slice of cake and 2 scoop of ice-cream. We sat there till 10:30pm.

After when we say goodbye to my mum’s friend, we wanted to go for shopping but all the shops are closed. So we head back to the hotel. This is the earliest I reach back to hotel since the first day I’m in Singapore.

It’s another day in Singapore. This time we went on a small tour to Jurong side. Visited the Singapore Science Centre and the tour guide took us back to the city which is 30 minutes drive away to have lunch in a Thai Restaurant. It’s a buffet style but not much variety. Then drive all the way back to Jurong to catch the movie about fighter pilot. It’s so boring. All 3 of us slept in the so called cinema. Luckily the movie only lasted bout 50 minutes. The movie is more of a documentary about how the fighter pilot goes for training and the sacrifices faces by them.

After the boring movie we went to the snow world. It’s really small inside. All they have is a place for snowball fight and a place for you to slide on the snow. Nothing much. We spent about an hour in there. I made some nice snowballs tho. Hahaha…

After that we have 30 minutes to spare before we head back to the city. So we went back to the science centre. Their science centre and our Pusat Science Negara is almost similar. It’s just that the entrance in Singapore is more expensive. Hahaha…

On the way back to the city, we asked the tour guide to dropped us at Mustafa Shopping Complex which is a 24 hours shopping complex mostly run by Indians because it’s situated somewhere near Little India. That’s where May Ng used to stay when I went over to Singapore last year. Each of us had $10 shopping voucher in Mustafa. So we wanted to make used of the voucher. We bought mostly food stuff. Nothing much we can buy using only $10.

After that my mum and Benny went back to hotel while I went to Orchard Road to meet up with May Ng again. Continue my Christmas shopping. There’s still few more presents to be bought. Yet again, some of the shops closed at midnight. And towards midnight they have even crazier sale. There I bought some gift as well. The place is so packed. They are really shopaholic. I reach hotel around midnight because I wanted to catch the last MRT which is at 11.45pm. I can’t afford to walk back to hotel from Orchard. This time I can’t feel my feet. Hahaha…

My mum woke me up at 6.30am. It’s so early. I could hardly open my eyes. But I have no choice. So I had to drag myself to the bathroom to wash face and brush teeth. Then I had to do my last minute packing such as the toiletries and my slipper. The teksi came around 7.10am and we reach Pasar Rakyat around 7.30am. Our bus will only depart at 9am. We expected that place to jam that’s why we left so early.

We reach Singapore approximately 2.30pm. It’s already lunch time. The bus stopped at Golden Mile Complex and we took the MRT to our hotel. The nearest MRT station to Golden Mile is Lavender then we stopped at City Hall. We stayed in Carlton hotel which is 5 minutes walk away from City Hall MRT. It’s very convenient. Opposite Carlton is Raffles Shopping Centre.

After checking into the hotel, we walked to Suntec City which is only 5 – 10 minutes walk away from the hotel. In Suntec itself I bump into Yeong Ching and her bf. What a small world. Hahaha… We ate at Jade Kitchen Restaurant. As usual, Singapore’s food is tasteless unlike our very own Malaysian food which is so tasty. After lunch we walked around Suntec City then off to Bugis in search for my little bro’s WWE wrestling T-shirt because last year I bought from there and he wants more. He bought another 2 more WWE t-shirts.

We walked all the way from Bugis to Orchard Road. On the way we stopped by Carlton to drop the things we bought and continue walking to Orchard. From the map it looks near but when we walk it’s kinda far. Hahaha… Then once we reach Orchard it’s already close to 9pm. We still haven’t eaten our dinner. We are so hungry. My stomach is growling like mad. We were searching high and low for food and ended up in McD in Ngee Ann Complex. There I met up with May Ng and I go shopping with May Ng while my mum and Benny went separate ways.

We did a little shopping as some of the shops closes at midnight since this is the last weekend before Christmas. We shopped till the shops are closed and May Ng walked me to the hotel and from there she took a cab. I reach hotel almost 1am. I’m so tired. I could hardly feel my feet.
