Yeah it’s Deepavali today. Happy Deepavali to you guys out there. I left to Melaka at 8 in the morning. My mum drove there. Luckily the traffic was good. No jam at all. The roads are clear. We reach Melaka around 10am. Stop by Tan Kim Hock to get some dodol and other stuffs. Then head on to the Melaka town to chow down on their famous chicken rice balls. My lil bro loves their rice balls and he ate so much. He ate 14 of those rice balls, which I think it’s equivalent to 2 bowls of rice. After that my lil bro went to another chicken rice shop which is a road away and he ta pau another 5 more rice balls. He can really eat man.

After lunch we head on to Melaka town since it’s still early to check-in. went to 2 shopping complexes. Mahkota Parade and Tesco. We went there just to past time. At around 2pm we head on to A’Famosa Resort, Alor Gajah. Took us bout half an hour drive from the town.

When we reach A’Famosa Resort, there is a long queue ahead of us. There’s so many people checking in. and furthermore the service is really really slow. It took us bout an hour just to check-in and the resort is so hot. No air-conditioner. Finally after getting our room keys, we head on to our rooms and I took a fast shower before starting our activities.

Our first activities of the day is the sand festival. There’s many sculpture made of sand. Sculpture such as Mona Lisa, Angkor Wat, Mosque, Mermaid, Zeus and lots more. After the sand festival we head back to the hotel since it’s still early for dinner and the night carnival.

Dinner was provided together with the rooms. It’s a buffet dinner. The food served is okie. Well, at least it’s edible. It was raining when we are having our dinner. Luckily the rain stopped right after dinner. If not, I think the carnival will be cancelled.

The carnival is nothing spectacular. It’s basically a parade. Animal parade, clowns parade and colourful parade. After the parade, Red Indian show is next. They are not the real Red Indians for sure, just that they dressed like Red Indians and the show they put up is basically playing with fire i.e fire eating. We reach back to hotel close to midnight.
